Johannes Inhoffen with prominent flamenco guitarists, guitar builders, guitar professors, etc.
|
| I had the pleasure of attending the Tomatito concert at the Rheingau Festival on July 2007. Because I have known him for many years, I took advantage of the opportunity to talk with him a bit and show him my new guitar treasures, because I know that Tomatito is a passionate guitar collector.
The concert was of course great, and the ambience of the Castle Garden contributed much to that. |

Paco de Lucía …
I presented the new cajon "tres lados" from Stefan Emmerich to Paco de Lucia in Leverkusen here. Paco liked it so much that he immediately bought two of them for his band.

Gerardo Nuñez …
...at my booth at the guitar festival in Lichtenstein. He tested a Marvi guitar. He owns a Marvi Brazilian rosewood, which he also played in his concert that evening. I got to know him in Jerez in the 80s and have often had to the chance to talk with him at concerts or in Spain.

Mariano Martin …
... discovered a Gerundino from 1973 in my shop and immediately fell in love with it. He now plays it on stage in addition to his Barba, which he also bought from Mundo Flamenco.

Workshop with Rafael Cortes (Mundo Flamenco in May 2006)
Participants were fired with enthusiasm after the workshop with Rafael in Freiburg. He dipped into his bag of fantastic tricks, which amazed even old hands. Many participants have already pleaded for a repeat.

A visit to the shop after the workshop to try out a few guitars. Johannes, Rafael Cortés and Juanfe Luengo in front of Mundo Flamenco

Pepe Justicia …
… was in Freiburg to master his new CD in the sound studio of Thomas Vogt, which was released in March. I was able to listen in a bit and was completely taken by it. He also found something to his liking during a visit to my shop. He is playing his new pearl in the picture, a Francisco Barba with cedar soundboard and Brazilian rosewood. He claimed it is the best guitar that he has ever played. I am proud that Pepe is playing this fantastic instrument, because it was my favorite guitar and sounds unbelievably good in his hands. He played it for the first time in a concert on 25 February in Seville. The "Dia de Andalucia" is being celebrated in the Maestranza in Seville, and Pepe – born in Jaen – is representing the province of Jaen with a couple of guitar solos. That's something I had to see, especially since the program included other great guitarists such as Niño Josele, among others.

The guitarbuilder Andres D. Marvi from Granada during a visit to our shop. He brought us a fantastic Negra Flamenca on this occasion. I have been friends with this skilled guitar builder for many years. That is all the more reason why I am very happy that he has received the recognition due him. Gerardo Nuñez plays his guitar on the stage and on his new learning DVD, which came out at the beginning of December. The highest quality with respect to both sound and construction, available in our shop for test playing. |

| Amir John Haddad from Madrid during a visit in Freiburg. One of the most interesting guitarists of the young generation was in the studio of Thomas Vogt in Freiburg to record his CD. He took advantage of the opportunity to try out a few guitars in my shop and cultivate our long-standing friendship. |

Rafael Cortés
Rafael Cortés with Johannes Inhoffen (owner Mundo Flamenco) at purchase of his new flamenco guitar model "Bulerias" from Ricardo Sanchis Carpio in the new branch in Wiesbaden. This is another guitar, which Rafael Cortés purchased from us. He really liked the sound of this Brazilian rosewood guitar from Sanchis Carpio and christened it immediately at his next concert on stage. Rafael has often been in our shop looking for a flamenco guitar from our extensive range. As many of our customers, he trusts the experience of Johannes Inhoffen when he buys instruments. His comment about Mundo Flamenco: "Johannes, tienes las mejores Guitarras."
