Bernd Martin, Caviuna/Spruce 2011
Bernd Martin has lived and worked in Granada for more than 30 years. He has had a great international reputation in the world of classical guitars for quite some time. He started building flamenco guitars a while back and has increased this work thanks to our friendship. I have been aware of his skills for quite some time and encouraged him to work more in this area. After his last caviuna/cedar guitar aroused a lot of interest among my customers and was sold relatively quickly, I ordered another one with a spruce soundboard. It is beautiful to look at with master class rosewood. The neck is ideal, extremely slender and consequently very easy to play. The sound is big, brilliant, lots of bass and a sassy, strong treble and make this instrument into what every soloist dreams of. It is also ideal for guitarists who want to play music at the borders of flamenco.
