Manuel López Bellido,Cypress/Spruce 2011
More Informations about the guitarbuilder Click here.
I was lucky to find a few new cypress guitars during my last visit to Manuel in August 2011. After I played all of them, it was clear that it had to be this one. Its sound differs substantially from the others with more brilliance. It has a zero fret as a special feature. Manuel Bellido makes that with almost all of his guitars. A fret is set directly after the nut. This makes the guitar easier to play without a capo. The thin neck and the neck width of only 51 mm at the nut also contribute to making the guitar easy to play.
The sound is very powerful and has brilliant trebles. The bass sounds are crispy. A good Manuel Bellido is always something special. It feels very good in your hands and has a very authentic flamenco sound.
