David Jiménez Rodriguez, Cypress/Spruce 2012
New in my shop. He lives in Sanlucar de Barrameda and builds since a few years guitars.
He uses a patented bracing system for the soundboard invented by a man named Menduiña from Madrid. Two braces parallel to the back run under the complete soundboard and are free-floating or only glued at certain spots.
The result is very interesting, because the guitar sounds somehow different from all others that I have heard till now: a clear, crispy sound, very flamenco. A few details are very pretty, for example, the back joint is reinforced from the inside with quadratic rosewood blocks. The top nut is made of rosewood. A very beautiful, expensive Gotho machine head adorns the pretty head varnished matt. Because I was more or less the first person who discovered David, he has assured me that my shop has exclusive worldwide rights to sell his guitars. I believe that this instrument has a big future. I am offering it at an extraordinarily inexpensive price to help David become known in the world outside of Spain.
Mine is the only shop in the world to which he supplies.
In my youtube channel you can see a videoclip recorded with this guitar Videoclip.
