Manuel Reyes, Rosewood/Spruce 1993

Reyes is currently one of the most sought-after flamenco guitars worldwide. It is the number one collection item for everyone who does not just collect, but also wants to play with his or her favorite. Due to his advanced age and health problems, Manuel Reyes Senior still only builds very few instruments. That makes him of course rather expensive, and consequently they have become prohibitively so over the past years.
This Reyes is one of the best that I have ever had in my hands. It is from the 90s. The most sought-after guitars from Reyes are from the 80s and 90s. The rosewood, which it is made of, is probably from Honduras. I am looking for someone, who can confirm that without a doubt. It has a few small playing traces on the soundboard. Spruce and rosewood are exceptionally good woods, which certainly contribute to the good sound of the guitar. It comes from the person who originally bought it.
The sound is sensational. It has a very powerful sound with crystal-clear, loud trebles. You can also produce a singing, poetic sound on it such as we know from Vicente Amigo. I have seldom seen heard such a good Reyes. As a result, it is not only a top-rate collector's instrument, but also a much sought-after instrument for ambitious guitarists.
