Manuel López Bellido
Guitar builder from Granada. He became well known in the 70s when Tomatito played his guitar for a long time. I own a Manuel Bellido from the 70s, which I bought at that time and played on stage for almost 15 years. It is still one of the most beautiful guitars that I have owned. It is charmingly easy to play. Flat neck, short scale length and a fine body are the main features of the old Manuel Bellido guitars. Its sound is rather sweet with a powerful bass and ringing treble. Getting an older Manuel Bellido is still a real insider's tip, and you can get one for relatively little money. He is the older brother of José López Bellido. He has three sons, who build guitars in their own workshops in Granada.
