Manuel Bellido is a legendary guitarbuilder from Granda. He is the older Brother of José López Bellido and the father of Jesús Bellido.
Tomatito played one of his guitars for a few years in the 70s. I also played a Manuel Bellido from 1977 for almost 20 years. Fantastic guitars. Extremely easy to play, and very balanced, crispy sound. Bass and trebles have a fantastic balance. The 70s were a legendary time for Manuel Bellido. After that, he changed his guitars a bit and he again built a few very good guitars in the 80s and 90s. Until today he is working.
In the beginning of 2020 began a msall serial as limited Edition with his son. This is number 3. Number one i sold very fast. Number 3 and 4 i just received. With special woods. It is exremely easy to play, with a perfect string set up and his typical cero fret.
It is one of the best rosewood guitars that I have ever played. Despite a slightly longer scale length, the guitar is very easy to play. Very low, perfect string height. The sound is velvety dark with an incredible charm. A great response with a minimal amount of effort. I'm totally fascinated by this instrument. An amazing instrument.
