Manuel Bellido is a legendary guitarbuilder from Granda. He is the older Brother of José López Bellido and the father of Jesús Bellido.
Tomatito played one of his guitars for a few years in the 70s. I also played a Manuel Bellido from 1977 for almost 20 years. Fantastic guitars. Extremely easy to play, and very balanced, crispy sound. Bass and trebles have a fantastic balance. The 70s were a legendary time for Manuel Bellido. After that, he changed his guitars a bit and he again built a few very good guitars until 10 years ago. He stills works, but not oficial. Just for fun.
It is one of his best rosewood guitars that I have ever played. He used a very nice Madagascar roswood. The tuners are mechanical pegs. Very low, perfect string height. The sound is velvety dark with an incredible charm. A great response with a minimal amount of effort. Fascinating instrument. It was 13 years played by a pro.
