Gitarren-Ausstellung Instituto Cervantes
Am Freitag, den 20. November und Samstag den 21. November stelle ich im Instituto Cervantes in München Flamencogitarren aus. Dort hat jeder der möchte die Möglichkeit, Gitarren zu testen. Da die Ausstellung parallel zu einem Workhsop mit Faustino Nuñez über Flamenco läuft, ist das Testen der Instrumente zu folgenden Zeiten möglich:
Freitag, 20.11.2009 von 10.00 - 12.00 Uhr, von 13.30 Uhr bis 16.00 Uhr und von 18.00 bis 19.30 Uhr.
Samstag, 21.11.2009 von 11.00 bis 16.00 Uhr.
Sie finden die Ausstellung im Instituto Cervantes im Kultursaal.
Es gibt übrigens für den hochinteressanten Kurs von Faustino Nuñez noch freie Plätze.

New Instruments

I brought the following instruments from my trip to Spain in August 2010

1 x Antonio Marin Montero, Cypress/Spruce 2010. The old master from Granada is one of the best flamenco guitar builders in Andalusia. His instruments are something very special in sound and design. Plain and proud, they cast a spell over you. Beautiful deep bass in connection with a ringing treble. Whoever can call such an instrument his own can confidently give up the search for the dream instrument. Sold

2 x José Marín Plazuelo Cypress/Spruce 2010. These instruments are among the high-end guitars in my shop, which satisfy optimum demands on sound and craftsmanship. Most sold master guitars in my shop in 2009. Large sound with sufficient sharpness in treble and ringing and enough warmth despite that. 1 x available

1 x José Marín Plazuelo Flamed Maple/Spruce 2010. These instruments are among the high-end guitars in my shop, which satisfy optimum demands on sound and craftsmanship. Most sold master guitars in my shop in 2009. First time that i received a maple guitar from Plazuelo. Perhaps a little bit warmer tha the cypress. 1 x available

1 x Antonio Marin Montero, Brasilian Rosewood/Spruce 1980. I found this wonderful second hand guitar in Granada. It has a very nice red brasilian rosewood on the back and sides. One good repaired crack on the top and one on the back. Nevertheless the guitar has a perfect statics. The top hasn´t move. This is incredibe for a 30 years old guitar. The sound is incredible. Crispy loud basses and nice singing trebles. One of the best Antonio Marins i ever had. 1 x available

1 x LesterDeVoe Cypress/Spruce 2008. This guitar is from Vicente Amigo. He played it for a while and decided to sell it to me, because he received some new Lester guitars and wanted to renew his collection. t is an outstanding guitar with a perfect flamenco sound. sold

1 x John Ray Indian Rosewood/Spruce 2010. John Ray is a Canadian Guitarbuilder who lives since many years in Granada. He makes a very nice flamenco model which is a copy of a Marcelo Barbero guitar from 1955. Marcelo Barbero was one of the best guitarbuilders in the the history of the spanish guitar. This guitar is very fine with small dimensions. Perfect for small hands. Nevertheless the sound is more than you expect when you see this light guitar. Crispy basses and clear singing trebles. sold

1 x José Gonzalez López Indian Rosewood/Spruce 2010. José works since 20 years in the workshop of Antonio Marín. He makes very good guitars with a perfect finish. You can see and hear where he learned his handcraft. It is really an economy Marín. Great guitar for low budget. Very loud guitar. sold.
